Marta Domingues (b. 2000) is a composer.
She completed her Master's Degree in Composition at the Lisbon School of Music, under the guidance of composers Jaime Reis and Annette Vande Gorne, with whom she studies regularly in Brussels. She is currently finishing a Master's degree in Music Pedagogy in the same institution and is also a PhD student at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon, University of Lisbon.
Her catalogue includes acousmatic, mixed and instrumental works, solo and for various ensembles. With her music she seeks links between acousmatic and instrumental musical practice, particularly in the energetic traces of sound and its reciprocal relationship with gesture and movement.

She received an honorable mention at the Métamorphoses 2020 competition (Belgium), was awarded a prize at the Young Lion*ess of Acousmatic Music competition (Austria) and her piece "Aspen Tree" for accordion and electronics was recommended in the Under-30 category at the 69th edition of the International Composers' Tribune (Netherlands). She received a grant from the Annette Vande Gorne Foundation for the creation of an acousmatic work during an Artist Residency in the studios of Musiques & Recherches (Belgium) in August 2024.
She has collaborated with musicians such as Pedro do Carmo, Francisco Cipriano and Ricardo Pires; ensembles including Art’Ventus Quintet (PT), Sond’Ar-Te Electric Ensemble (PT), Lakt Ensemble (AT), Vertixe Sonora Ensemble (ESP), and Nada Contra (PT); as well as orchestras such as the Jovem Orquestra Portuguesa (PT) and Orquestra Geração (PT).
Her music is published by Influx/ Musiques et Recherches (Belgium) and DME/Lisboa Incomum editions. In 2024, her piece “sowing snow in cone pots” was released on the album “When You Hear Hoofbeats, Think Horses, Not Zebras” by Nada Contra.
She collaborated in the organization of the DME Project and Lisboa Incomum between 2020 and 2024.
