-grafia (2023)

“-grafia” was born out of the desire to emphasise sound through gesture, amplifying all the sonic and visual details it entails. The gesture that the performer makes on the instruments is drawn in the form of lines, curves and scribbles - a graph that the musician follows with his hands, reflected in the sound he produces. A piece in which the percussionist doesn't use mallets, but his body, sharing a physical intimacy with the instrument and the sound.

“-grafia” reflects a sonic occupation of gesture.
